"CLASON. Probably from Clas, a diminutive of Nicholas. Payment to Johannes Clayson at mandate of chamberlain, 1328 (ER., I, p. 101). Katherine Clasone in Fossoquhy, parish of Logie, 1615 (Stirling). James Clasone was prisoner in Canongate Tolbooth, Edinburgh, 1684 (RFC., 3. ser. x, p. 352).
