1921 England and Wales Census records are now available!

On 6 January 2022 the 1921 England and Wales Census records were made available online via the FindMyPast website. The records have been indexed and are searchable via the usual methods. These records are only viewable on a pay-per-view basis and are not included in any of FindMyPast's existing subscriptions with the exception of the 12 month premium subscription.

"CROMB. Alexander Crom (Cromy, or Crome) had his office of tochdoreschip (tochoderatus) annulled, 1477 (SCM., rv, p. 135). A bond of manrent was given by Alexander Crome of Inuerernane in 1503 binding himself to become a 'lele trew mane and seruande' to the earl of Huntly (SCM., rv, p. 192). He is probably Alexander Crom Makalonnen, whose office of tochdoreship was ordered to be rendered to the kin of Donald Crum Me Cownane in 1532 (Trials, n). Donald Crome Me Ranald vane had a precept of remission in 1542 (RSS., 11, 4454). John Croume appears in Pykertoune of Corstoune, 1610, and Margaret Cromb in Blackburne, 1666 (Brechin). Payment made to Patrick Crome in Fife, 1684 (PSAS., LTV, p. 239). Cromb, Crombie, and Crommie are common names in Glenlivet. See under CRUM. "(The surnames of Scotland.
