Richard de (error for le') Seriant, witness to a confirmation charter by Henry de Graham, c. 1200 (Neubotle, p. 7) may be the Richard Sergant who is witness again about the same date (Cambus., 73). Andrew le Serjaunt and Nicol le Serjaunt of Linlithgow rendered homage, 1296 (Bain, n, p. 198), and in the same year a writ was issued to the sheriff of Edinburgh on behalf of Nicholas le Sirjaunt (ibid., n, 832).
