Bob Murphy (musician)
Bob Murphy (May 28, 1945 – October 22, 2015) was a Canadian jazz pianist and music educator, prominent on the Vancouver, British Columbia and Toronto, Ontario music scenes. A professional musician since age 14, Murphy composed, arranged, and performed music for films, CBC Television shows, CTV shows, commercials, and CBC radio. In addition to regular live performances, Murphy was an esteemed music instructor specializing in jazz piano, improvisation, and musician performance skills.
Murphy's musical influences include Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett, Miles Davis, Cannonball Adderley, Chick Corea and John Coltrane.
He died on October 22, 2015 in Vancouver.

Robert Allan Murphy (September 19, 1924 – August 3, 2004) was an American sportscaster who spent 50 years doing play-by-play of Major League Baseball games on television and radio. The Oklahoman was best known for announcing the New York Mets, from their inception in 1962 until his retirement in 2003. He was honored by the Baseball Hall of Fame with the Ford C. Frick Award in 1994.

Bob Murphy (born January 27, 1951) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey player. He was selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the 11th round (102nd overall) of the 1971 NHL Amateur Draft.
Born in 1951 in Toronto, Ontario, Murphy began his professional career in 1971 with the Syracuse Blazers of the Eastern Hockey League, and played five seasons in the minor leagues before retiring following the 1975-76 season as a member of the Maine Nordiques of the North American Hockey League.
Murphy was known as a gritty offensive forward who played 298 professional games, scoring 113 goals and 268 points, while racking up 247 penalty minutes.

Robert Kevin Murphy (born 2 March 1950) is a New Zealand rower.
Murphy was born in 1950 in Auckland, New Zealand. He represented New Zealand at the 1976 Summer Olympics in the coxless four in a team with David Lindstrom, Grant McAuley, and Des Lock, narrowly beaten by the team from the Soviet Union to fourth place. He is listed as New Zealand Olympian athlete number 361 by the New Zealand Olympic Committee. He is a member of the Whakatane Rowing Club and was the club's captain for the 1985–86 rowing season.
