Con Murphy (Valley Rovers hurler)
Cornelius "Con" Murphy (28 October 1922 – 29 April 2007) was an Irish hurler who played as a full-back for the Cork senior team.
Murphy joined the team during the 1942 championship and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement after the 1951 championship. During that time he won four All-Ireland medals, five Munster medals and one National League medal. Murphy was an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion.
At club level Murphy had a lengthy career with Valley Rovers while he also played with divisional side Carrigdhoun.
In retirement from playing Murphy became a referee at the highest levels. He also served as a Gaelic games administrator with the Cork County Board before assuming the office of President of the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1976.

Cornelius "Con" Denis Murphy (3 September 1908 – 13 July 1964) was a Welsh dual-code international rugby union, and professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1930s and 1940s. He played representative level rugby union (RU) for Wales, and at club level for Ynysddu RFC and Cross Keys RFC, as a hooker, i.e. number 2, and representative level rugby league (RL) for Wales, and at club level for Acton and Willesden, Streatham and Mitcham and Leeds, as a, i.e. number 9, during the era of contested scrums.

Con Murphy (Bride Rovers hurler)
Cornelius "Con" Murphy (born 1925) was an Irish hurler who played as a midfielder for the Cork and Dublin senior teams.
Born in Rathcormac, County Cork, Murphy first arrived on the inter-county scene when he first linked up with the Cork junior team. He made his senior debut at the age of 21 during the 1946 championship before later joining the Dublin senior team. Murphy enjoyed a successful career, winning one All-Ireland medal, two Munster medals and one Leinster medal. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on two occasions.
Murphy represented the Leinster inter-provincial team at various times, however, he never won a Railway Cup medal. At club level he was a one-time championship medallist with Cú Chulainn's while he also played with Bride Rovers, Sarsfields and Civil Service.
Murphy retired from inter-county hurling following the conclusion of the 1953 championship
