Eric Brown (pilot)
Captain Eric Melrose "Winkle" Brown, CBE, DSC, AFC, Hon FRAeS, RN (21 January 1919 – 21 February 2016) was a British Royal Navy officer and test pilot who flew 487 types of aircraft, more than anyone else in history.
Brown holds the world record for the most aircraft carrier deck take-offs and landings performed (2,407 and 2,271 respectively) and achieved several "firsts" in naval aviation, including the first landings on an aircraft carrier of a twin-engined aircraft, an aircraft with a tricycle undercarriage, a jet aircraft, and a rotary-wing aircraft.
He flew almost every category of Royal Navy and Royal Air Force aircraft: glider, fighter, bomber, airliner, amphibian, flying boat and helicopter. During World War II, he flew many types of captured German, Italian, and Japanese aircraft, including new jet and rocket aircraft. He was a pioneer of jet technology into the postwar era.

Eric Chalmers Brown (15 February 1925 – 6 March 1986) was a Scottish professional golfer.
Eric Brown was born in Edinburgh. Aged fifteen months he moved to Bathgate, when his father George got a job as a technical-subjects teacher. Eric stayed in Stuart Terrace and played at the golf course across the road. He represented Great Britain in the Ryder Cup in 1953, 1955, 1957 and 1959 and had a 4-4-0 win-loss-half record. He won all of his four singles matches but lost his four foursomes matches. He topped the European Order of Merit in 1957. He was the non-playing captain of the British Ryder Cup teams in 1969 and 1971. He won the Scottish PGA Championship eight times between 1956 and 1968.
In March 1986, Brown died of a stroke at his home in Edinburgh.

Eric S. Brown (born August 21, 1953) is the former Chief Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court. He was appointed by Governor Ted Strickland on May 3, 2010, following the death of Chief Justice Thomas Moyer on April 2, 2010. Brown was the first Jewish Chief Justice in Ohio history.
He received a bachelor's degree in history from Cleveland State University in 1975 and a law degree from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1979. He has served as an Assistant Attorney General, Judge and Magistrate on the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, Judge for Franklin County's Probate Court, and Judge on the Franklin County Municipal Court. Since 2015, Brown has served as a member of the Columbus City Schools Board of Education.
Brown was defeated for Chief Justice by Associate Justice Maureen O'Connor, the Republican candidate, in the November 2, 2010 general election.
