Eric Shaw (screenwriter)
Eric Shaw (born 1973) is an American television writer whose credits include Nickelodeon's SpongeBob SquarePants. Originally from Jericho, NY, he attended Jericho High School and graduated from Columbia University. He has been an animation writer since 2003 and has also written for Skunk Fu, Krypto the Superdog, Sid the Science Kid, My Friends Tigger and Pooh and many other animated hit shows. He is known for writing on SpongeBob SquarePants seasons five and six. As a staff writer, Shaw has written for more than 50 SpongeBob episodes. In 2007, Shaw served as the President of the International Jury at the Cartoons on the Bay Animation Festival in Salerno, Italy. Shaw was Head Writer on the PBS animated series WordGirl starring Tom Kenny, Maria Bamford, Patton Oswalt, Jeffrey Tambor, and others. Shaw ran the writing on Season 5 (26 episodes), from Soup2Nuts's Watertown, Mass studio. On June 14, 2013, he won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing in Animation at the 40th Annual Creative Arts Daytime Emmy Awards.

Eric Shaw (politician)
Eric Frank Shaw (born 12 January 1936) is a former Australian politician.
He was born in Wynnum to Thomas Bourke Shaw and Edna Eileen (née Reese). He attended Manly State School, Wynnum State High School and Central Technical School, becoming a clerk with Eagers Motors in Newstead in 1950 and then an apprentice plumber for Alan Moore & Co. Later he was a water supply, health and sewerage inspector for Brisbane City Council, to which he was elected in 1967.
A Labor member, he was elected to the Queensland Legislative Assembly in 1977 as the member for Wynnum. From 1982 he was Opposition Spokesman on Welfare, Aboriginal and Islander Affairs, moving to Local Government in January 1983 (to which Main Roads and Racing were added in November). In 1987 he lost his Labor endorsement and became an independent, retiring in 1989.

Eric Wendell Shaw (born September 17, 1971) is a former American football linebacker who played three seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League (NFL).
Shaw attended Pensacola High School in Pensacola, Florida. He first enrolled at Florida State University before transferring to Louisiana Tech University. He was drafted by the Bengals in the twelfth round of the 1992 NFL Draft. With the Bengals from 1992 through 1994, Shaw appeared in 28 games (10 starts).
A comeback attempt in 1999 with the Shreveport Knights of the short-lived Regional Football League ended after one game due to a neck injury.
