Fisher has also provided guest vocals for New York technical death metal band Suffocation on the songs "Reincremation" and "Mass Obliteration" from their debut album, Effigy of the Forgotten, as well as guest vocals for California deathcore band Suicide Silence on the song "Control" from their fourth album, You Can't Stop Me. Fisher also performed guest vocals on Job for a Cowboy's 2014 album Sun Eater on the song "The Synthetic Sea." In 2021, Fisher performed guest vocals for Boston metalcore band Ice Nine Kills on the song "Take Your Pick", a tribute to My Bloody Valentine from the band’s album The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood.

As a death metal vocalist, Fisher employs the "death growl" extended vocal technique. Fisher has also gained much popularity through the size of his neck. He has explained multiple times that the size of his neck is due to a combination of headbanging and lifting weights when he was younger.

Born in Franklin, Massachusetts, Fisher attended the common schools and Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island.He studied law.He was admitted to the bar in Oswego County, New York, in 1816 and commenced practice in Oswego, New York.He was appointed inspector of schools in 1818.Trustee of the village of Oswego in 1828 and 1833.

Fisher was elected as an Anti-Jacksonian and presented credentials as a Member-elect to the Twenty-first Congress. He served from March 4, 1829, to February 5, 1830, when the seat was awarded to Silas Wright, Jr., who contested the election. The House committee that investigated found that 130 votes for Wright were mistakenly not counted for him. Fisher did not object to the conclusion or appear in his defense and formally resigned on March 9, 1830.

Fisher became the Trustee of schools in 1830 and continued the practice of law in Oswego, New York, until 1833. He and his family then moved to France for the education of his children, where he spent five years. He then returned to Oswego and engaged in real estate operations and served as president of the Northwestern Insurance Co. for several years. He moved to New York City about 1856 and died there March 26, 1861.

Born in India in 1844 to William Fisher and Frances Brise Fisher (who were first cousins), he was educated at Windlesham House School, Harrow School and Brasenose College, Oxford. In 1874 he was appointed Vicar of Forest Row in 1874, transferring to St George, Barrow in Furness in 1879 and Croydon ten years later. Appointed as Bishop of Southampton (a suffragan bishop in the Diocese of Winchester) in 1894 to succeed William Awdry, he was translated in 1899 to Ipswich (a suffragan in the Diocese of Norwich), a post he held until ill health necessitated his resignation in January 1906.

Fisher died at his home in Fleggburgh on 9 April 1921. In 1876, he had married Mary Penelope Gwendoline Thompson, daughter of Thomas Charles Thompson, a Liberal MP. He was the father of George Kenneth Thompson Fisher (died as a result of sniper fire in Gaza on 3 September 1917) and grandfather of Antony Fisher, the founder of the Institute of Economic Affairs.

He signed his contract for Millwall F.C. in 1942 and played in the Southern FA Cup Final at Wembley against Chelsea on 7 April 1945; the attendance at the game reached 90,000, which is the largest crowd Millwall have ever played in front of. He is the twin brother of former Millwall defender Jackie Fisher.

After leaving Colchester, he played for non-League clubs Bexleyheath & Welling, Romford and Aveley.

Following the close of his coaching career, Fisher became the Athletic director at the school and served in this capacity until 1977.
