Henry Knight (cricketer)
Henry Knight (born Henry Austen, 27 May 1797 – 31 May 1843) was a nephew of Jane Austen and an English cricketer who played for Sussex. He was born in Rowling near Goodnestone and died in Kent.
He was the third son of Jane Austen's brother Edward Austen Knight, who had added the additional surname of Knight in 1812 when he inherited the Chawton House estate from Thomas Knight.
He joined the Army in 1818 as a cornet, was promoted lieutenant in 1821, captain in 1823 and half-pay major in 1826. He retired in 1837.
Knight made a single first-class appearance for Sussex, in 1827, against Kent. In the twelve-a-side match, Knight finished on 3 not out in the first innings, and did not bat in the second. His brothers, George Thomas, Edward and Brook and nephews Philip and Gerald Portal all played first-class cricket.
He married twice: firstly Sophia, daughter of Lewis Cage, with whom he had a son, and secondly Charlotte, the daughter of the Rev. Edward Worthey, with whom he had a daughter.

Henry Joseph Corbett Knight (22 June 1859 in East India – 27 November 1920 in Hitchin) was Bishop of Gibraltar from 1911 until his death.
Henry Knight was born on 22 June 1859, son of the Rev. John Lister Knight. He was educated at Islington Proprietary School and St Catharine's College, Cambridge, where he graduated tenth Classic in 1882. He was ordained in 1886. He began his career as Tutor (Lecturer) in Theology at Selwyn College, Cambridge (1885–1895). After this he was Rector of Marnhull (1895–1901) and also Examining Chaplain to the Bishop of Salisbury. He then returned to Cambridge as a Fellow of Corpus Christi, and Principal of the Clergy Training School, where he remained until his appointment to the episcopate. He was consecrated bishop on St James's Day (25 July), by Randall Davidson, Archbishop of Canterbury, at St Paul's Cathedral. A Sub-Prelate of the Order of St John of Jerusalem, he died on 27 November 1920. His brother, Arthur Mesac Knight, was the third Bishop of Rangoon.
