Henry White (British politician)
Henry White (5 August 1890 – 4 February 1964) was a British Labour politician who served as Member of Parliament (MP) for the constituency of North East Derbyshire from 1942 to 1959.
White was a miner and served as vice-president of the Derbyshire Mineworkers' Association for four years and as a branch secretary for 18 years. He was a councillor and alderman on Derbyshire County Council for many years and divisional party organiser.He was first elected to Parliament unopposed in a by-election in 1942, following the death of the sitting MP Frank Lee. He died in Chesterfield aged 73.

Henry Seely White (May 20, 1861 – May 20, 1943) was an American mathematician. He was born in Cazenovia, New York to parents Aaron White and Isadore Maria Haight. He matriculated at Wesleyan University in Connecticut and graduated with honors in 1882 at the age of twenty-one. White excelled at Wesleyan in astronomy, ethics, Latin, logic, mathematics, and philosophy. At the university, John Monroe Van Vleck taught White mathematics and astronomy. Later, Van Vleck persuaded White to continue to study mathematics at the graduate level. Subsequently, White studied at the University of Göttingen under Klein, and received his doctorate in 1891.
White was Mathematics Department Chair at Northwestern University. He left Northwestern to be near his ill mother and became Chairman of the Mathematics Department at Vassar College. He "attributed his interest in geometry both to his work at Wesleyan and Goettingen and to summers spent working on his grandfather's farm." His particular interests were in the fields of the geometry of curves and surfaces (curves, differential geometry of surfaces), algebraic planes and twisted curves (algebraic geometry, algebraic curves, twisted curves), homeomorphic sets of lines in a plane (line coordinates), the theory of invariants, relativity in mechanics, and correspondences.
In 1915 White was elected a Fellow of the United States National Academy of Sciences. Northwestern conferred upon him an LL.D. in the same year. At the time of its 100th anniversary in 1932, Wesleyan conferred upon him a D.Sc.

Henry Julian White (27 August 1859 – 16 July 1934) was an English biblical scholar.
White was born in Islington, north London, the second son of Henry John White. He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford, matriculating on 11 October 1878, graduating B.A. in 1882 (M.A. 1885). He was ordained in 1886, becoming the domestic chaplain of John Wordsworth in the same year. He was Chaplain and a Fellow of Merton College, Oxford, where he taught theology, from 1895 to 1905; and a Fellow of King's College London from 1905 to 1920. He assisted Wordsworth in producing an edition of the Vulgate Bible. He was also co-author of A Grammar of the Vulgate. He was Dean of Christ Church in Oxford from 1920 to 1934.
White supported the appointment of Albert Einstein as a Student (Fellow) at Christ Church, despite opposition by J. G. C. Anderson on nationalistic and perhaps even xenophobic (according to White) grounds in the early 1930s.

Henry Eli White (21 August 1876 – 3 March 1952), also known as Harry White, was a New Zealand-born architect who is best known for the many theatres and cinemas he designed in Australia and New Zealand in the 1910s and 1920s. Many of the major surviving historic venues in the two countries are White designs, including the St. James Theatre, Wellington, St. James Theatre, Auckland, the Capitol Theatre and State Theatre in Sydney, and the Palais Theatre and the interiors of the Princess Theatre and Athenaeum Theatre in Melbourne. He also designed the City Hall and the attached Civic Theatre in Newcastle, New South Wales.
