Some Famous People called Low Ling

Low Yen Ling

Low Yen Ling ( born 1974) is a Singaporean politician who has been serving as Minister of State at the Ministries of Culture, Community and Youth and Trade and Industry since 2020. A member of the governing People's Action Party (PAP), she is a Member of the 14th Parliament and has been representing the Bukit Gombak ward of Chua Chu Kang Group Representation Constituency (GRC) since 2011. She has also been the Mayor of the South West District and Chairperson of the Mayors' Committee since 2014.

Before entering politics, Low had worked at financial institutions, a start-up venture, and the Economic Development Board. She made her political debut in the 2011 general election as part of a five-member PAP team contesting in Chua Chu Kang GRC. After the PAP team won with 61.2% of the vote, Low became a Member of Parliament and had since retained her parliamentary seat in the subsequent general elections. Starting in 2013, she served as Parliament Secretary and later as Senior Parliamentary Secretary in various Ministries before she was promoted to Minister of State in 2020.
