Some Famous People called Michael Stone
Michael Stone (criminal)
Michael Stone (born Michael John Goodban in 1960) is a British man and suspected serial killer who was convicted of the 1996 murders of Lin and Megan Russell and the attempted murder of Josie Russell. Stone was sentenced to three life sentences with a tariff of 25 years.
Stone maintains his innocence and continues to contest his conviction. His legal team argue that serial killer Levi Bellfield could possibly be the true perpetrator of the attack. In May 2021 a bootlace, which had been tied around Megan's neck in the course of the crime, was found by Kent police who had previously mislaid it. It could yield DNA that could prove that Bellfield, or another individual, was the killer. However, the lace had been contaminated during examinations by the Forensic Science Services in 1998 and contains DNA from different sources.
