Phil Scott (footballer)
Phil Scott (born 17 January 1961) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the West Coast Eagles in the Victorian/Australian Football League (VFL/AFL).
A foundation player at West Coast, Scott made his debut in the third round of the 1987 VFL season. He was used as a ruckman and represented Western Australia at the 1988 Adelaide Bicentennial Carnival. Scott twice won West Coast's 'Best Clubman' award, the second of which came after making his final appearance in the 1990 Preliminary Final loss to Essendon. He finished his career back at his original club, Subiaco, with whom he played in the 1986 premiership side. Having taken the field for two further years to bring his tally to 110 WAFL games, Scott retired.

Philip Brian Scott (born August 4, 1958) is an American politician serving as the 82nd governor of Vermont since 2017. A member of the Republican Party, he was elected governor in the 2016 general election with 53% of the vote. In 2018, he won re-election to a second term by a wider margin. Scott was elected to a third term in 2020 with a 41% victory margin, the largest in the state's gubernatorial election since 1996, and the largest for a Republican since 1950. He was previously the 81st lieutenant governor of Vermont, an office he held from 2011 to 2017. Before serving as lieutenant governor, he was a state senator representing the Washington County district from 2001 to 2011.
Ranked as one of the nation's most popular governors, he is the only member of the Republican Party to be elected to statewide office in Vermont as of 2021.

Philip Scott Suffling (3 January 1900 – 4 December 1983), born in Paddington, London, was an English professional heavyweight boxer of the 1910s, 1920s and 1930s, who won the National Sporting Club (NSC) (subsequently known as the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC)) British heavyweight title, British Empire heavyweight title, and European Boxing Union (EBU) heavyweight title, his professional fighting weight varied from to .
He joined the Royal Navy aged 15, and served as a seaman aboard HMS Trafalgar during the First World War, after the war, he was a police officer at Scotland Yard for two years, then a fireman for the London Fire Brigade from June 1922 to June 1924, and in 1933 he became a boxing instructor for the Egyptian National Police. Scott started his professional boxing career in 1919. His coaches admitted that he knew virtually nothing about "infighting", but that he had a fast left hand. He appeared on the cover of the November 1929 edition of The Ring magazine, and he co-wrote a book with R. James Alexander called The Complete Boxer, a textbook on boxing which sold for a shilling.
