1921 England and Wales Census records are now available!
On 6 January 2022 the 1921 England and Wales Census records were made available online via the FindMyPast website. The records have been indexed and are searchable via the usual methods. These records are only viewable on a pay-per-view basis and are not included in any of FindMyPast's existing subscriptions with the exception of the 12 month premium subscription.

"CREECH. From Creich in Fifeshire, where a family of this name rented land for several generations. "The parish of Creich, in "the northern part of Fifeshire, contains the remains of an ancient castle but there is no trace of any family bearing the name occupying the lands" (Rogers, The Book of Robert Burns, i, p. 129). Douenaldus (i.e. Donald) de Creych, a cleric, was one of the witnesses to a confirmation charter by Walter, son of Alan of the land of Tubermor between 1204 and 1241 (Scon, p. 125). Simon de Creych who petitioned for a canonry of Moray, 1394 (Pap. Pet., i, p. 620), appears in 1403 as councillor of the earl of Atholl (CSR., i, p. 180). Master Richard Creyche of Scotland, who had a safe conduct into England in 1423 (Bain, rv, 935), is probably Richard de Creich who was rector of the church of Croile (Crail) in the diocese of St. Andrew in 1429 (RMS., n, 137). Andrew Creich is recorded in Dunfermline in 1585 (Dunfermline). John Creych was merchant in Leith, 1544 (Rottok, 36). Issobella Creich and Joneta Creich were heirs portioners of Robert Creich, anus, in a house in the burgh of Newburgh and regality of Lundoris in 1611 (Retours, Fife, 222, 223).
